My work explores the relationship between the body and mind, focusing on the tension between physical form and psychological experience. Drawing influence from Caravaggio’s dramatic use of light and Francis Bacon’s distorted figuration, I use explicit bodily imagery and implicit emotional cues to create a sense of unease and vulnerability.
