Family Matters
Longtime friends, John Westbay and Christopher Flore teamed up for a two-person show, titled ‘Family Matters.’
For Christopher Flore, the urban cubist style embodies the vibrant energy and eclectic culture of New York City, a place where art, music, and street life collide. With influences from the likes of Keith Haring and Jean Michel Basquiat, the paintings feature a cast of Cubist characters with big teeth and curious eyes, each painting representing a moment in time captured in a spontaneous, free-flowing manner.
John Westbay, born in Brooklyn NY, is a contemporary artist living and working in New York City. A pioneer within the framework of creating a new mold for the modern day artist, John’s pieces are expansive, yet simple; evoking the kind of feeling we get through the essence of love. It’s this kind of genuine love.that allows him to blur the lines between fine and commercial art
