Natalie Hope McDonald


Natalie Hope McDonald is an artist based in Philadelphia. Her work is featured in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 

She’s shown widely in galleries and museums, including James Oliver, Bridgette Mayer and Noname Gallery. She recently had a successful solo show at Pii Gallery in Philadelphia.

She recently collaborated on a mixed media portrait series of Lou Reed and Iggy Pop with photographer Bobby Grossman for Ki Smith Gallery in NYC. She’s also created murals for the Museum of Glass, National Liberty Museum and Mural Arts, and a portrait for Supreme Court Justice Kentaji Brown-Jackson. Spike Lee and John Waters are among her famous collectors.

Her new work combines both painting and writing in a range of mediums inspired by city life, pop culture, music, poetry and graffiti. She works on canvas and reclaimed materials.
